How about a feature to let us know if a listing has been submitted or approved by the homeowner, or a way to let people know that they don’t need to ask permission to harvest.

Make possible for group/org maps. Give city-specific logins for less public maps, or at least extra features to be under their management.

Ability to submit GPS cords instead of address.

Easy form for submitting multiple sources, import GPS data file from handheld, etc.

Submit sources by text message using Twitter

Option to add email address in comments so that users could answer questions about location plants.

Ability to view the website in many languages. Once the edible has been chosen from the drop-down menu (or added), then (through programming code) we would enable the user to make a language choice. Front page/ Ethics page would have to be manually translated.

Idea of adding food banks, shelter areas, water sources (public drinking fountains, hidden ponds and such) to the map (from caves and bushes to specialized shelters).

Add a blog where with a translation tool integrated in the blog, all posts would show up in the language chosen, creating a seamless experience for the end user. Blog could also be used to separate and assign tasks from the Feature Ideas to willing members and to discuss new ideas and integration solutions!

The blog could also expand on comments for each area, so if a Google Map Marker has a code, i.e #167, then users could blog about #167, would be even more relevant in the case if shelter areas are added or for edibles that are more difficult to access.

Add to Ethics page samples of letters for inquiring about local law regarding picking in school yards, plants that overhand public property, natural reserve parks, large spaces such as in the countryside.

Decide if we want to add this group to MySpace, Facebook and other social networking sites.
