General ToDo

  • Find new office space! Needed: room for file cabinet, library (a couple of shelves), occasional meeting. Internet and electricity. Shared space would work.

Scouting

  • Pair up and go on regular scouts for edible sources
  • Schedule a scouting mission via the mailing list & calendar
  • Post good spots you've heard about on the website
  • Print out the section of the map that covers your neighborhood, gather up a posse, and go ground-truthing to update the database

Flyering

  • Distribute fliers available on the website
  • Make your own fliers! Feel free to use logo, fonts, and text

Wiki

  • Help contribute information about harvesting, recipes, etc.
  • Research information about What's In Season When and update plant pages with categories
  • Wanted templates: {{Poison}} (for poisonous plants), {{Caution}} (for plants/processes that can be dangerous)

Soil Contamination

  • Research common soil problems in urban areas, signs of contamination, simple remediation methods, toxin accumulation in plants... post info on the wiki!

Writing

  • Offer to write blog posts, updates, disclaimers etc.
  • Help revise mission statement
